I have this equation:

f(x)=\frac{x^2}{4}+ \frac{5x}{4} - \frac{1}{2}

I know that the two fixed points are the roots, but I need to find the largest region around each fixed point so that g is a contraction on the region.

Can somebody give me a hint?
