Gamma Beta Function
Hey i've been set a question which i'm not sure whether through substitution your meant to make it into a gamma function or beta function. Please could some one give me some advice

Question
Evaluate:
[LaTeX ERROR: Compile failed] (x^p-1)/(1+x) dx
Upper limit: $\infty$
lower limit: 0

Judging from some of your other posts, you're probably expected to solve this using contour integration (use an indented contour around the branch point z = 0, make your branch cut the positive real axis). I'm sure you have examples in your class notes or textbook.
