    Derivate of implicit function

    Hy.

    I have question how can i make derivate from implicit function i have lost at the begining.

    parameters of this function are
    a=7;\ b=5;\ c=3;\ d=-7;\ e=-5;\ f=-2

    this is my implicit function which is making me crazy
    a x^2+b x y+c y^2+d x+e y+f=0

    Are you saying you have to implicitly differentiate this?.

    If so, plug in the given coefficients and proceed.

    7x^{2}+5xy+3y^{2}-7x-5y-2=0

    14x+5(xy'+y)+6yy'-5y'=7

    We have to use the product rule on 5xy. That is often a place where mix ups occur. Now, solve for y'.
