{ 27 - 40x + 18x^2 - 2x^3, 2<=x<=3

Verify that s(x) is a cubic spline function on [1,3]. Is it a natural cubic spline function on this interval.

Do you know the definitions of "cubic spline" and "natural cubic spline"? This looks to me like just a matter of verifying that the definitions are satisfied.
