Could anybody help me with this limit please? I have to prove : $\displaystyle \lim_{n \to \infty} (1+z/n)^n = e^z ,\ z=x+iy $ Thank you for your help.

Since this one of the definitions of the exponential function, we need to ask what definition of $\displaystyle e^z$ you have to work with? CB
