so $\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{T L}{M}} = \sqrt{\frac{ kg \frac{m}{s^2} \cdot m}{kg}} = \sqrt{\frac{m^2}{s^2}} = \frac{m}{s}$ the units of velocity.
