For the DE (d/dt)y(t) = 2y - 3t + 1, what is the slope of the tangent to the solution that passes through the point t = 1, y = 2.

The slope of the tangent to the solution at any point is given by dy/dt. So substitute t = 1 and y = 2 into the expression for dy/dt: dy/dt = 2(2) - 3(1) + 1 = ....
