to get variables on both sides i get $\displaystyle \frac{x}{dx}=\frac{4y}{dy}$

cannot figure next step to solve difq.

Differentials should be located on top, it's actually $\displaystyle \frac{dy}{4y}=\frac{dx}{x},$ now just perform integration.
