stability of second order diff equation solution

Hello,i have the diff equation xx''= C to solve, where C is some constant and the straightforward solution is ~ t^2/3i have used the usual methods to estimate the stability and find that it is unstable. but i need to go further and understand how much unstable it is i.e. on which time scale the solution to the eq diff is still an acceptable one. for that i need a comprehensive reference on such matters, can some one provide one? thank you in advancefred
