Math Help - Derive Euler Lagrange equations of motion.

    Question Derive Euler Lagrange equations of motion.

    Does anyone know how to derive the Euler Lagrange equations of motion from Newtons second law F=ma. any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it can be done using the principle of least action but would prefer the first Cheers. any links,vids etc all welcome.

    Goldstein does have a good derivation. This is also good.
