i have:

Bg-g''+(1/r)g'=0

and i need to get it in the form of bessel's equation but i am struggling in doing so

i believe bessels's equation to be:

r^{2}g''+rg'+(v^{2}-r^{2})g=0

Any help would be appreciated

I can't help but wonder if you have

**tried**anything at all yourself. The "Bessel's equation" that you want has g'' multiplied by r^{2}so it would seem to me obvious that you need to multiply the given equation by r^{2}. And once you do that, the result just "falls out". - Apr 10th 2013, 05:56 AMkaw90Re: Bessel's Equation help
i tried that but then i am left with r^2Bg-r^2g''+rg'=0

First write in the correct "order" r^2g''- rg'- r^2Bg= 0

What if v= 0?
