# Constants in a PDE

Constants in a PDE
Hi,

I've solved the following PDE by treating it as an ODE:

$u_{yy} + 10u_{y} + 25u = e^{-5y}$

My solution is

$u(x, y) = (A + By + 0.5y^2)e^{-5y}$

Have I treated the constants correctly?

Yes. You can check you solution by just taking the derivatives.
