Thread: second order first degree linear ODE problem

I am facing some problems with an ode problem in which the variables cannot be separated. p(x) is a complicated function of x ...p(x)=sqrt(r(x)/exp(x)) and r(x)=ln(x/a); a is constant. sort of this type function. so i dont know the way to proceed, should this to be done numerically ,

[D^2-1/p(x)]y=f(x)

this a boundary value problem like for 0<x<b; y(0)=c and y(b)=d

well if i follow any of the numerical method for BVP will do i guess...just figured it out
