    non linear systems

    Can any one help me with this:
    Find the exact values of r, k, and x at the cusp point shown in Figure 3.7.5
    r(x) = (2* (x^2))/ (1+(x^2))^2 , k(x) = 2*(x^3) /( x^2) - 1

    Surely that is not the whole problem??? We can read approximate values for r and k off the graph but we cannot get exact values without knowing what the equations of those graphs are. And there is no mention of even what x means or how it is related to r and k, much less any way of finding a value for x.
