1. ## unit step functions...

ok im supposed to write each function in terms of unit step function. and then find the Laplace transform of the function...

sounds great, but im not sure how to start this problem....

$f(t)=\left\{\begin{matrix} 0 &0\leq t< 1 \\ t^{2} &t\geq 1 \end{matrix}\right.$

any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated..

Are we to assume f(t) = 0 for t < 0? I suppose so. If you have met the step function it should be obvious that f(t) = H(t-1) t^2.
