Thread: Solve the Homogeneous Linear DEQ

I completed the sqaure of the equation and came out with (
Then r = -3
So my answer is but the answer should be -7t where is at.
I need help where the -7t came about.

(r + 5)^2 = 4 has two solutions, not 1. What is the other solution?
