Thread: books

Hi

I started learning PDE with complex variables in school about three weeks ago. so far, we have learnt about heat, wave and transport equations..but i have no idea what they are about and how to solve the homogeneous and non homogeneous versions of them...tried to borrow some books but as most of the materials in my notes seems to be in complex variable, i cant seem to find any useful books..


is there anyone here that can recommend me a good PDE/ ODE book?

For ODE's, I like Zill as an intro, and Coddington and Levinson for more advanced stuff.

For PDE's, the Farlow book is a nice, cheap intro. I'd go with Renardy and Rogers for a more advanced book.
