Thread: DE vs Calculus

I am new to both Calculus and DE. I know calculus is used to solve DE, but can DE be considered as a part/topic of Calculus?

it's a subject inside calculus.

i have that subject apart from calculus I, II, III and IV.

Course-wise it can be considered a subject in calculus; but theoretically will it be completely correct to consider DE as the subset of Calculus? Consider if integration were not used to solve DE, would it still be a part of calculus?

I see where you are going. Also, consider Geometry witout shapes! It all makes sense!!
