Hey Guys,
This is my first time posting on here. I'm catching up on some first year maths for my degree, so i'm very scratchy on basic math skills. Surprisingly I've actually been doing alright in my quizzes, but I've now got an assignments which calls for processes we have not yet learned and which I can not seem to figure out.
This is why I have come here for help. I'm not expecting you guys to just deliver me the answers, but I'd really appreciate if you could at least point me in the right direction. I've attached my assignment sheet to here to save me typing out the question
My specific problems are as follows:
Question 1b)
I really have no idea how they got to this factorised form. Specifically, where did the h go? And I dont understand how to rearrange the formula to use the partical fractions technique so as to introduce the a and the b as they have done here.
1c) Not sure how to use partial fractions and seperation of variables in this case. Not sure where the kA value come from, has that just replaced K and, if so, why?
Question 2)
got similar sorts of questions, so maybe if you guys can help me understand how to work out question 1, I will be better suited to attack this question? But feel free to offer any suggestions/tips/words of wisdoms you feel are appropiate in regards to this question.
That's all that I can think of as yet. Just let me say now, that any efforts to help me will be extremely appreciated. I normally wouldn't ask others for help witht hese sort of things, but i'm just so unfamilliar with this kind of problem I can't seem to make any ground at all!
