Find x, y, z, if 2(x,-1,4)-3(-4,y,6)-0.5(4,-2,z)=(0,0,0)

Ok, I think I did this question correct, but the back of the says no.. I am guessing that the back of the book is wrong.. Can someone just verify? Thanks

2x-2+4=0
x=-3

12-3y-18=0
y=-2

-2+1-0.5z=0
z=2

is this ok?

2. I got a different linear set of equations:

2x + 12 - 2 = 0$

$-3y - 2 + 1 = 0$
$-.5z + 8 - 18 = 0
$

x = -5
y = -1/3
z = -20

Careful how your distributing.

You need to rethink the operations.

$2\left( {x, - 1,4} \right) - 3\left( { - 4,y,6} \right) - 0.5\left( {4, - 2,z} \right) = \left( {2x + 12 - 2, - 2 - 3y + 1,8 - 18 - 0.5z} \right)$
