    Limits

    Evaluate each of the following limits.

    a) lim as x approaches 3 (x^2-5x+6)/(x-3)

    b) lim as x approaches 4 [sqrt(x)-2]/(x-4)

    Each of these is an example of a ratio A/B where there is a common factor.
    For example, x^2-5x+6 = (x-2)(x-3). It isn't quite so obvious in the second example but if you look at x-4 as (sqrt(x))^2 - 2^2 you can see the factorisation.
