    taylor polynomial help

    The first order Taylor polynomial about (x_0,y_0) is:

     <br />
P(x,y)=f(x_0,y_0)+ (x-x_0)\left. f_x\right|_{(x_0,y_0)}+(y-y_0)\left. f_y\right|_{(x_0,y_0)}<br />

    so you should be able to use this to do part a. If not let us know what the problem is and we will try to explain
