Parametrization for part of a parabola.

    Parametrization...

    Find a parametrization for the right half of the parabola, y = x^2 + 6x - 7

I went to my book for an explanation, but couldn't seem to find a lot of help, would anyone mind explaining it to me?

    Thanks!

    the vertex occurs when x = \frac {-6}{2} = -3

    so we can parametrize the parabola as x = x, y = x^2 + 6x - 7 for x > -3
