Am I on the right track?
Hi guys,
Am just rehashing my calculas after missing it for years and want to make sure I am on the right track.
Does:
Find:
₋₂∫² x² dx
Mean I differentiate it first to make..... 2x
Then put in the top value.... in this case 2.... and subtract it from the bottom value... in this case 2?
This would be..
2x........... 2(2) 2(2).......4 + 4 so answer is 8 ?

This is actually integration, so you'd have (1/3)x^3 + C. You are right about the top value being subtracted from the bottom value; you'd have 1/3.(2)^3 1/3.2^3 = 8/3 (8/3) = 16/3
