Am I on the right track?
Hi guys,
Am just rehashing my calculas after missing it for years and want to make sure I am on the right track.
Does:
Find:
₋₂∫² x² dx
Mean I differentiate it first to make..... 2x
Then put in the top value.... in this case 2.... and subtract it from the bottom value... in this case -2?
This would be..
2x........... 2(2) - 2(-2).......4 + 4 so answer is 8 ?

This is actually integration, so you'd have (1/3)x^3 + C. You are right about the top value being subtracted from the bottom value; you'd have 1/3.(2)^3 - 1/3.-2^3 = 8/3 - (-8/3) = 16/3
