How would I get the original function for the first derivative given:
f'(x)=X^3(2x-7)^2(x+5)
it's not part of my assignment, just for general know how...sometimes it's just easier to solve equation with original function...thanks!

By integration!
In this case i would prefer
$\displaystyle x^3(2x-7)^2(x+5) = ... = 4x^6 - 8x^5 - 91x^4 + 245x^3$
$\displaystyle \int [4x^6 - 8x^5 - 91x^4 + 245x^3] dx$
This is pretty easy to integrate, do you know how to integrate?
$\displaystyle \int [4x^6 - 8x^5 - 91x^4 + 245x^3] dx = 4x^7/7 - 4x^6/3 - 91x^5/5 + 245x^4/4 + CONST = f(x)$
