    About Work: Moving Particle

    A force of 12 x2+12 x pounds acts along the x-axis to the right on a particle when it is located a distance x feet to the right of the origin. How much work is done in moving it from x=1 to x=15?

    work done by a variable force ...

    W = \int_{x_1}^{x_2} F(x) \, dx
