    Volume Around x=-r question

    The region R enclosed by the curves and is rotated about the line . Find the volume of the resulting solid.

    Solids of revolution are explained pretty well here: Pauls Online Notes : Calculus I - Volumes of Solids of Revolution / Method of Rings

    There's even an example that is very close to your problem.
