Cosh(x) = x*Sinh(x) is solvable analytically, by algebraic manipulation.
If it is, can anyone provide, hints or pointers as to how to go about it?

that's a transcendental equation. the exact value of the root(s) cannot be found. but you can approximate them using numerical methods or just the silly intermediate value theorem!Quote:
