    Help with area bounded by the curve

    My ideas are not working on this problem, help would be much appreciated:

    Find the area bounded by the curve y=6+4x-x^2 and the chord joining (-2,-6) to (4,6)

    equation of the chord is y = 2x-2

    A = \int_{-2}^4 (6+4x-x^2) - (2x-2) \, dx
