    Exclamation What is the name of this formula?

    Hello Everyone

    I am just new in this forum and I am wondering if this formula is known and what is the name.

    z = x * (x * (x * (x * (x % y) % y) % y) % y) % y

    Is this a modulus operator? If so, i'm faintly seeing what purpose it might have. Mind telling me what it's supposed to accomplish?
