I am trying to find a way to find the average figure inbetween two points on an exponential decay graph. Is this possible using differetiation or is there some other technique one might use to solve this? is it even possible?

I believe that the average value of an integrable function $\displaystyle f(x)$ over an interval $\displaystyle [a,\,b]$ is defined as

$\displaystyle \mbox{average}=\frac{1}{b-a}\int_a^b f(x)\,dx.$
