    Volume using the shell/disc method

    Find the volume of the solid formed by revolving the region bounded by the graphs y=xcubed, x=2, and y=1 about the y-axis.

    did you graph the region? use the shell method. the volume is given by

    V = 2 \pi \int_1^2 x(x^3 - 1)~dx

    i leave it to you to see how i came up with that
