    Global Extrema

    Find the absolute maximum and minimum of the function on the domain .

    I found the critical point, but I am stuck on what to do with the boundaries. Can someone please explain.

    plug in at the boundaries. then compare all the outputs: at the critical number and at the boundaries. whichever is the larger number will be your absolute max.
