    Calculus Differentation using Trig

    A projectile thrown is thrown over level ground. at an angle x to the ground has a range R given by R = (v^2/g)sin2x where v is the initial speed in m/s and g = 9.8m/s^2. Determine the angle of projection x for which the range is maximum.

    the max value for R will occur when \sin(2x) = 1

    R = \frac{v^2}{g} \cdot (something)<br />

    if -1 \leq (something) \leq 1 , then what is the largest possible value for R ?
