$\sum^{\infty}_{n=1} \frac{9^n + 9}{8^n}$

Should I do limit comparison test with $\frac{9^n}{8^n}$?

$\frac{9^n + 9}{8^n} > \frac{9^n}{8^n} = \left(\frac{9}{8}\right)^n$

The terms do not go to zero, hence the series diverges.
