b.) sq. root of 26
c.) sq. root of 34

e.) 2 sq. roots of 13
i got the answer 3/5 and don't understand why i'm not even close to any of these answers.

You simply require the formula:
$\displaystyle v(t) = \sqrt{(x(t))^2 + (y(t))^2} $
by putting the value t=2 into both equations and using the formula above you should get the correct answer.
