    turning points

    1. How many turning points does $\displaystyle f(x)=(x-5)(x-3)(x+1)^2$ have?

    What is a "turning point"?

    Do you know how "turning points" are related to "critical points"?

    Turning point is where it changes directions, a maximum or minimum point, and no i don't know how it's related to critical points, i'm also having a hard time understanding whether that is a cubic or quartic function

    I think it has 3 turning points, can you tell me if it's correct, as well if it's a quartic equation
