    Vector Parametrization

    Give a vector parametric equation for the line through the point (2,-2,-1) that is parallel to the line −3−5t4−4−t: r(t) =_________?

    The direction vector of the given line is \vec u = (-5, 0, -1)

    Therefore the parallel through the given point must be:

    \vec r = (2, -2, -1) + t\cdot (-5,0,-1)
