You want to find: $\displaystyle \lim_{x \to 0_+} \sqrt{x} \sin(x/(|x+x^3|)$ As $\displaystyle |\sin(x)|\le 1$, we have: $\displaystyle -\sqrt{x}\le\sqrt{x} \sin(x/(|x+x^3|)\le \sqrt{x}$ and the squeeze theorem should take you from there.
