technical calculus problem

I hate that my first post on this forum is a question!! These are two questions I can not figure out:

1. Find the volume of the solid of revolution obtained by rotating R, defined by the bounds given in each exercise, about the y-axis.

Y^2=4X, 4X-3Y-4=0

2. Find the volume of the solid obtained by revolving the region bounded by y=square root of X , x=4

a. the x axis

b. the y axis

c the line x=5

d. the line y=3

I don't just need the answer, I need to understand what I need to do to get the answer. Thanks for any and all help.
