    dy/dx???

    which rule are you supose to use on?

    y=4ln(cos(e^2x))

    Chain Rule.
    First always take out constants.
    4 [\ln(\cos(e^{2x}))]' = 4 \frac{[cos(e^{2x})]'}{cos(e^{2x})}=-4 \frac{\sin(e^{2x}) (e^{2x})'}{cos(e^{2x})}=-4 \frac{\sin(e^{2x}) e^{2x} (2x)'}{cos(e^{2x})}
    = -8 \frac{\sin(e^{2x}) e^{2x}}{cos(e^{2x})} = -8e^{2x} \tan(e^{2x}) e^{2x}
