    partial fractions

    Is there anyway to nontrivially decompose

    \frac{1}{(x-2)^2}

    into partial fractions?

    \frac{1}{(x-2)^2}=\frac{A}{(x-2)}+\frac{B}{(x-2)^2}

    I see no good reason to turn that into partial fractions. What's the main purpose?
