    simplifying the different quotient for the given function



    can some one advice on whether this can be simplified any further

    Hint: Multiply the difference quotient by \frac{\sqrt{x+h-1}+\sqrt{x-1}}{\sqrt{x+h-1}+\sqrt{x-1}}.

    Can you take it from here?
