Tricky Derivative
I encountered this derivative the other day.

The position of the function is = 17te-1.3t

this is very tricky and has been giving me problems.

Any suggestions???

as in $s(t) = 17te^{-1.3t}$ ?

to differentiate this (and hence find the velocity function) use the product rule, as you have a product of two functions here: $17t$ and $e^{-1.3t}$
