Hi!
I'm seriously stuck on this calculus question:
You are on your way to Waldorf when you are pulled over in Hughesviille by a police officer. He begins writing you a speeding ticket and you object that you were doing the speed limit, which is 55 mph. he replies that he know you exceeded that, since you passed a friend of his 12 miles back 10 minutes ago. for how many mph over is he writing you the ticket?
Do you think he passed Calc I?
I'm pretty sure the cop writes you the ticket for 72 mph using 12mi/10min or 12mi/.1667 hours, but that has to be wrong, it can't be that easy. And with that second question, I know for a fact its a trick. I've looked all over and can't find anything anywhere else!
Help would be great!!
thanks!
