Thread: Integrating Factors Proof

Hi,

There is a section in an old text book that shows that if there is one integrating factor for a differential equation then there are many other factors also. I don't understand one section of the explanation and was hoping that someone could give me some guidance. The page is attached and the problem area has a box around it with a question mark beside it.
