    Question Area Betwen Curves....Help!

    Find the area of the region bounded by the parobola y=x^2, the tangent line to this parabola at (1,1) and the x-axis.

    The first thing you need to do is to get the equation of the tangent. Have you done this? This is a skill you should have learned in differential calculus - it might pay to review that part of your studies.

    Then you draw a graph of the parabola and the tangent and shade the required area.
