    Infinite Discontinuity, Jump discontinuity, Point Discontinuity, and Continuous

    State whether the graph of f(x) = (x^3 - x^2 - 12x) /( x +3) has an infinite discontinuity, jump discontinuity, point discontinuity, or is continuous.

    I have never heard "point discontinuity", but this function has a "removable infite discontinuity" at x=-3

    Try factorising the numerator. Hint: (x + 3) is a factor. What does that tell you?
