Hello, if y = a*x^r, a, r are real numbers, then dy/dx= a*r*x^(r-1) With your problems you'll get: 1) dy/dx=(1/3)*3*x^2 = x^2 2) dy/dx = 15/4*x^4 And now I'm only guessing: Transform the root into a power: y = x^(1/4) 3) dy/dx = (1/4)*x^(-3/4) Greetings EB
