Draw and label the given curves:

    1. Find the area bounded by the curves.
    a. y = e^-x, y = 3 - 2x
    b. y = x^3 - 3x^2 - 9x; y = x + 12

    2. Find the volume generated by revolving the area bounded by the curves y = 3x^2 - 12 and x = y and 0y, about 0y

    Have you sketched these?

So you know that there is no closed area between the curves in (b)?

To find the limits of integration for (a) you have to solve:
e^{-x}=3-2x
or the equvalent for y how are you expected to find these?
